These are just a few of the activities offered by the Recreation Program. The variety and diversity of the program is designed to teach skills, provide community integration and leisure enjoyment to participants of all ages.
Life for Adults Physical Fitness Program
(LIFE)/Integrated Bowling
In addition to the special events, the LIFE for Adults and Bowling programs operate throughout the school year. Each of these programs is offered in both Woodbridge and Manassas. There is a registration and transportation fee for both.
LIFE for Adults is a physical fitness program that offers adults the opportunity to develop skills in leisure time activities that can be incorporated into community activities and used throughout their lives. Participants may play tennis, basketball, volleyball or learn the latest dance craze. There are activities planned for everyone.
Bowling leagues unite teens and adults with
disabilities into teams with non-disabled bowlers. A variety
of teams ensures bowlers of all ability levels the chance for
growth and success.
Soaring Together and
Reaching Success (STARS)
The STARS Program for more independent young
adults with disabilities plans events for its own group. The young adults enjoy dinner and a meeting together to discuss the upcoming activities, service projects, and day trips.
