THE ARC OF GREATER PRINCE WILLIAM
GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Arc of Greater Prince William’s 2nd Annual Golf tournament will be held on May 9, 2008 at Forest Greens Golf Course. The tournament will be a shotgun start at noon. Free lunch and dinner will be provided plus a lot of fun. The golf tournament is The Arc’s major fundraising activity. One of the reasons the tournament was so successful last year was because of the generosity of many. Sponsor support is essential in reaching our financial and programmatic goals.

Last year’s tournament raised $30,000, which provided scholarships for children at our two childcare centers, Muriel Humphrey and Robert Day. Many of these children are medically fragile and require special care and supervision. In addition, we provided scholarships for adults in the Therapeutic Recreation Program. The Arc’s recreational activities provide a comfortable environment for adults with disabilities to expand their self-awareness, physical well being and social enhancement. Without this assistance, low-income children and adults with disabilities would not be able to attend these unique programs.
